Stainless Steel Plates

Stainless Steel Plates – Optimized Version

Stainless Steel Water Tank Plates – A Versatile Material

Stainless steel plates are widely used and highly practical. Combining corrosion resistance, high strength, formability, and easy cleaning, they serve as a core material in water tanks, kitchen equipment, industrial manufacturing, architectural decoration, and other fields.

For water tank production, stainless steel plates deliver excellent corrosion resistance, effectively resisting chemical substances in water and extending service life. Their smooth surface is easy to clean and meets food-grade standards, ensuring safe water storage. Multiple stainless steel grades are available for water tanks, allowing you to select the most cost-effective option based on your region. For daily drinking water storage with proper cleaning and maintenance, 304 stainless steel offers the best value. Plate thickness also directly affects the final price.

Beyond water tanks, stainless steel plates are widely applied in architectural decoration, medical equipment, food processing machinery, kitchen countertops, and marine engineering. We supply 304 and 316L grades with thickness ranging from 1.2mm to 3.0mm, fully customizable to your specific needs.

Production Process

We provide two production processes: cold rolling and hot rolling, selected based on thickness and application:

Cold-Rolled Plates

  • Suitable for thin plates (1.2mm – 2.0mm)
  • Smooth, flat surface with high dimensional accuracy
  • Preferred for food-grade, water tank, and precision processing applications

Hot-Rolled Plates

  • Suitable for thick plates (2.0mm – 3.0mm)
  • High strength, better impact and bending resistance
  • Ideal for large water tanks, industrial equipment, and architectural decoration

Product Advantages

Corrosion Resistance

Available in 304/316L grades:

  • 304: Ideal for standard drinking water and general environments
  • 316L: Recommended for coastal or highly corrosive environments

High Strength

Uniform thickness from 1.2mm to 3.0mm ensures strong pressure and bending resistance. Tip: For stainless steel enclosures with no heavy surface load, thinner material can be used for top plates to balance durability and cost efficiency.

Smooth Surface

Finished with mechanical or mirror polishing. Meets food-grade and medical-grade standards, easy to clean, and reduces bacterial growth. Rough surfaces tend to trap dirt and bacteria.

Customizable

Custom cutting, punching, bending, and pre-welding available to meet project-specific requirements.

Durable & Eco-Friendly

Long service life, simple maintenance, fully recyclable, and in line with green environmental principles.

FAQ

Q1: Are you a manufacturer or a trading company? A1: We are an in-house manufacturer with direct production, no middleman markup, ensuring competitive pricing and quality.

Q2: Can you customize thickness and dimensions? A2: Yes, we support custom cutting, bending, punching, and pre-welding.

Q3: Can the plates be directly used for welding water tanks? A3: Suitable for small water tanks. For large water tanks, we recommend our customized tank solutions. Water exerts pressure, and our tanks use an upgraded crimping process to effectively distribute water pressure for safety.

Q4: Are the plates suitable for food-grade or drinking water storage? A4: Fully suitable for both food and medical applications. Food-grade: choose 304 or 316L. Medical-grade: must use 316L.

Q5: What is the minimum order quantity? A5: No MOQ. Production starts upon order placement. Factory wholesale pricing for large quantities.

Q6: How do you ship the plates? A6: We use waterproof film + reinforced wooden pallets. For long-distance deliveries, additional wooden crate reinforcement is available to ensure safe transport.

Q7: How to maintain the plates? A7: Wipe with neutral cleaners; avoid strong acids or steel wool to preserve surface finish. Regular cleaning is sufficient for water tanks.
